The Mindset of the Spirit: Living as God’s People

This Sunday, we'll continue our journey through Romans 8 as we explore one of the most life-changing truths in the New Testament: the Spirit of God dwells within his people. 

Last week, Pastor Scott mentioned the TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  "Move that bus!" is the iconic, crowd-chanted catchphrase from the show. The phrase was shouted by a crowd to signal the bus driver to pull away, dramatically revealing a newly built or heavily renovated home to the waiting family. 

Imagine walking through a beautifully restored home. Every room has been renovated, the lights are on, the table is set, but no one lives there.  It would feel strangely incomplete.  A house is only truly alive when someone is home.

The Bible makes an astonishing claim: God didn't simply come to renovate our lives; God came to make His home in us.
